Amazon (AMZNO) has officially opened its largest last-mile fulfillment center in Mexico City, spanning 344,000 square feet. This expansion marks Amazon's commitment to providing customers in Mexico with low prices, a wide selection of products, and efficient delivery services.As competition in the Mexican retail market intensifies, Amazon aims to maintain its competitive edge by offering a seamless and convenient shopping experience. With this new facility, Amazon enhances its logistics network and reduces delivery times, enabling customers to receive their orders more quickly and conveniently.
Additional Amazon Expansion in Mexico
In addition to the new fulfillment center in Mexico City, Amazon has recently taken other steps to expand its presence in the country. In October 2021, the company visited the community of Nueva Esperanza in Tijuana, where it plans to establish a future facility. Amazon has also opened a new fulfillment center in Guanajuato, Mexico.
